Frank Borzellieri's Conservative Media Review

Conservative media serve a valuable function, both for news and commentary. The so-called "mainstream" media are notoriously left-wing, biased, and dishonest. Some conservative media are more valuable than others, whether print, online, or television. Nevertheless, most have some considerable value. These are Frank Borzellieri's top choices.

THE EPOCH TIMES Logo

What The Epoch Times says about itself:

Our reporters are required to get all sides of a story and allow someone who is being criticized to respond. Our reporters are guided by the highest code of conduct and ethics in their reporting. The Epoch Times’ commentary can only be found in a distinct “Opinion” section. The Epoch Times strives to maintain accuracy and uphold journalistic integrity by following our editorial guidelines on source verification and our editing process. When errors are discovered after publication, The Epoch Times promptly issues corrections or clarifications.

What Frank says about the Epoch Times:

Both a print and online news source based in Manhattan, The Epoch Times covers news accurately and without bias. They also cover stories and present features ignored by big media.

People’s Pundit Daily Logo

What People’s Pundit Daily says about itself:

Be honest, accurate, truthful and fair. Do not distort or fabricate facts, imagery, sound or data. Provide accurate context for all reporting. Seek out diverse voices that can contribute important perspectives on the subject you’re writing. Ensure that sources are reliable. To the maximum extent possible, make clear to your audience who and what your sources are, what motivations your sources may have and any conditions people have set for giving you information. When unsure of information, leave it out or make clear it has not been corroborated. Correct errors quickly, completely and visibly. Make it easy for your audience to bring errors to your attention.

What Frank says about People’s Pundit Daily:

Led by expert pollster Rich Baris, People’s Pundit Daily is unusual in that its main thrust is polling. As Rich says, “Pollsters are human beings.” What he means is pollsters are just as susceptible to bias as journalists, so he strives to, and succeeds in, polling in a fair and honest way. What One America News Network says about itself:

One America News Network is owned by Herring Networks, Inc. Herring Networks, Inc. is a family owned and operated, independent media company focused on providing high quality national television programming to consumers via its national cable networks. The for-profit company was established in 2004 and has its primary production operations in California and Washington, DC.

What Frank says about One America News Network:

OANN doesn’t say very much about itself, but its thrust is accurate. OANN has the reputation as being “pro-Trump,” and it certainly is, in the sense that it is without the regular anti-Trump bias of other media. The TV station was removed from major cable outlets, so you would need to stream OANN or go to its website.

Vdare Logo

What Vdare says about itself:

VDARE.com is a non-profit journalistic enterprise, We inform the fight to keep America American. It all started with a bold idea: in the face of unwavering hostility from the Main Stream Media, our editor, Peter Brimelow, launched VDARE.com on Christmas Eve of 1999 as an extension of his national bestselling book, Alien Nation: Common Sense About America’s Immigration Disaster. After all, the issues of unrestricted mass immigration, both legal and illegal, weren’t going away. They were getting bigger. We argue that the US is in fact a nation-state as defined above, with a unifying history, traditions and language. Regarding the viability of its future, unless something is done, and quickly, the prognosis is not good.

What Frank says about Vdare:

Vdare is the premier outlet for common sense on America’s immigration situation. It is the natural outgrowth of Peter Brimelow’s book, “Alien Nation.” If you want the real deal about America’s immigration disaster, Vdare is the place to go.

What The Blaze says about itself:

Blaze Media is news, opinion, and entertainment for people who love the American way of life. As one of the nation's largest independent media companies, Blaze Media empowers content creators to be who they are, without filters. We are as broad and ideologically diverse as the audiences we serve. Blaze Media is where you’ll find to some of the biggest names in conservative media, including Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, Steve Deace, Phil and Jase Robertson, Jason Whitlock, Allie Beth Stuckey, Lauren Chen, Matt Kibbe, Chad Prather, Dave Rubin, and many more. Although the views of our writers, hosts, and contributors vary, Blaze Media is unapologetically pro-America and pro-free speech. It is the home of dissent from woke capital, Big Tech, cultural arsonists, and state-sponsored media. We are builders. We are committed to America’s founding principles and rebuilding America’s cultural, political, civic, and journalistic institutions on the foundation of bold discourse, big ideas, and free expression.

What Frank says about The Blaze:

The Blaze is most famously known as Glenn Beck’s baby. It has a wide variety of media options: podcasts, television, and written commentary. It is unapologetically conservative, libertarian, and very entertaining.

What Human Events says about itself:

Human Events is an American conservative political news and analysis website. Founded in 1944 as a print newspaper, Human Events became a digital-only publication in 2013.

What Frank says about Human Events:

While Human Events doesn’t say much about itself on its own website, it is the most iconic media organ on this list. One of the original conservative publications going back to the original American conservative movement, for years it was strictly a print publication. Now it’s online only, and has some great features.

What War Room says about itself:

WAR ROOM PANDEMIC is the first and most comprehensive program to bring the most up to the minute information on the news of the day. Stephen K. Bannon brings medical experts, politicians, business leaders, and those on the front lines for a comprehensive look at the latest news from all and provide their insider insights.

What Frank says about War Room:

I love War Room video podcasts because, more than any other media outlet, it drives left-wing crazies up a wall. Steve Bannon has great guests and provides truth with a punch in the nose.

Daily Caller Logo

What the Daily Caller says about itself:

IT’S TIME TO REPLACE THE CORRUPT MEDIA. Exclusive viewing of all DC Originals: captivating critiques of American culture; Original and honest journalism, unfettered and limitless, covering everything from elections to entertainment to Sunday-night football.

What Frank says about the Daily Caller:

Created by Tucker Carlson, the Daily Caller is a good source of news and interesting commentary. They occasionally break news stories, too.

What RedState says about itself:

Founded in 2004 as a community blog, RedState has grown into one of the nation’s leading conservative news and opinion outlets. Unlike most traditional news sites, RedState’s writers don’t live in the Acela corridor, and many have had successful careers in fields other than news or politics. Our writers are located in 18 states (at last count), from Alaska to Florida and from California to Pennsylvania, and are politically and civically active in their communities, giving them a perspective and depth of knowledge that few national outlets can match.

What Frank says about RedState:

RedState is almost exclusively an opinion site featuring a big stable of conservative commentators. Some I like more than others. They occasionally break news. The site is also useful because often you can see what something of interest that is going on in the country that won’t be mentioned elsewhere.

Breitbart Logo

What Breitbart says about itself:

Breitbart News is one of America’s leading news organizations. Breitbart routinely features exclusive interviews and original content with and from American and world leaders. It was conceived in 2007, when two Jewish-American best friends – Andrew Breitbart and Larry Solov – took a trip to Israel together.  There, they decided to partner and create Breitbart News with the idea that truthful reporting and the free and open exchange of ideas is essential to maintain a robust democracy. With that foundation and the unwavering belief in the greatness of America.

What Frank says about Breitbart:

Breitbart covers all the current news quickly, as it happens, so this site should be the one to turn to for immediacy. Honest in reporting, exposing the hypocrisy of the establishment press.
